BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 1. Azerbaijan’s Unibank plans to fully transform the entire traditional banking into a digital environment, the Head of the Digitalization Department of Unibank Sattar Kazimov told Trend.

According to Kazimov, the bank maintains close cooperation with fintech companies and is expected to launch a joint banking product with one of the local fintech companies in the near future.

"In particular, we are talking about card acquiring, customer support and other issues. The launch of the ‘Topla’ (Moneybox) project is also expected in the near future. The client will be given the opportunity to open a savings account online. The user can set a certain goal and upon reaching this goal, he receives a certain percentage reward," the head of department said.

He reminded that Unibank has launched such global solutions as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

"The launch of the next payment solution - Garmin Pay is expected,” Kazimov added.

Speaking about the plans of full digitalization of traditional banking, the expert said that all clients of Unibank will be transferred to online channels, that is, it will provide the clients with the opportunity to receive, pay and close loans, open deposits and accounts, and order bank cards online.

“Part of this work has already been implemented, and work is underway to expand the digitalization of products and services," he concluded.
