BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 20. This week, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan has announced that it aims to train about 3,000 students majoring in Information Technology annually within the Technest project, Trend reports.

Moreover, a Cybersecurity center is planned to be opened with Israeli support. It will be established by agreement with the Israeli University. One of the main projects that Azerbaijan is developing within the IT sphere concerns both state and private small and medium-sized businesses.

In addition, it was announced that trillions of dollars will be invested in the digitalization sector at the global level in the future. This forecast is based on the fact that digitalization is going to play a huge role in business development.

Furthermore, a new document on cooperation between the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Azerbaijan is going to contribute to the strengthening of partnerships in the fields of digital transformation and innovation, investments, and technology transfer, as well as in other priority fields. The new cooperation framework is based on the results of many years of cooperation between Azerbaijan's government and UNIDO, and it aims to strengthen partnership in the next five years through joint efforts. The document on cooperation framework for 2022-2026 was signed on November 14 by Gerd Müller, Director General of UNIDO, and Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan.

Moreover, Azerbaijan plans to establish an ASAN [Azerbaijan Service and Assessment Network] service model based on artificial intelligence by 2025. Azerbaijan's experience in e-government is used in Indonesia and some other countries. A total of 320 services of 13 public agencies are integrated into the ASAN Service.

In 2022, for the first time, ASAN services were provided outside the country – in Türkiye. Azerbaijanis living in Türkiye can take advantage of public services through the mobile service center.
