BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. StrategEast will continue to progress in three directions in Azerbaijan, the President of StrategEast, Anatoly Motkin told Trend.
He noted that the first direction is the development of the startup ecosystem in Azerbaijan.
"The country's startup environment is growing rather nicely, and one of our goals is to expand it into other areas like the Gulf market. We already have this excellent investing opportunity under our belts. The second is that we will create a pool of skilled professionals here who can work for multinational corporations without having to travel outside of Azerbaijan. To prevent a scenario where young people must travel to Baku in order to further their education, it is crucial that we build the IT ecosystem throughout all of Azerbaijan, not just in the capital," Motkin said.
According to him, the third direction is the popularization of Azerbaijan as a country that is a reliable provider of digital services.
"This goes together with the second component that I mentioned; it should become a service provider," he said.
To note, StrategEast is a leading independent organization working to develop Eurasia's digital economy in cooperation with international financial institutions, development agencies, global technology companies, and governments across Eurasia.
StrategEast is a non-profit organization with offices in the US, Ukraine, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan.
