An Azerbaijani delegation headed by the Azerbaijani Minister for Communications and Information Technologies, Ali Abbasov, was on a visit in the United States from 10 to 17 July, the Ministry told Trend. As a result of a business-forum in Washington, the delegation participated in the second business-forum on the information technologies in California.
The forum with the participation of representatives of leading ICT companies centered on the establishment of special economic zones on high technologies and possibility of the US investing.
Attending the event were popular scientist Lutfizade, Azerbaijani by origin. The scientist underlined the importance of development of ICT in Azerbaijan following the oil sector, gave its recommendations on special economic zones on ICT and stated on his part his readiness to support the implementation of the project.
Attending the forum were the General Consul of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles, Ellin Suleymanov and the Russian Consul in San-Fransisko, Martinov.
