Azercell Increases Number of Stations to Raise the Quality of Communication

Azercell Telecom JV continues its work on expanding field of its coverage and providing high-quality telecommunication services in Azerbaijan. In October the company installed 23 new stations in Baku and regions of Azerbaijan, 14 of which are in Baku, 2 in Sumgayit and the remaining 7 ones in Gakh, Zardab, Nakhchivan, Oguz, Sheki, Lerik and Agjabedi regions, Trend reports with reference to Company.

Totally 267 stations have been installed in Azerbaijan during first 10 months of 2006. It helps Azercell's subscribers who live in the regions to establish reliable communication not only with the capital, but also with all over the world. Leader of mobile communication market plans to install a total of 289 stations until the end of this year. In order to provide communication services Azercell has 2 reserve subscription bases, 11 systems to control base stations, 13 centers of mobile commutation and over 1000 base radio stations.
