A meeting with a delegation of the Iranian TV and Radio Broadcasting Company at the Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and Information Technology determined to establish a joint commission and expert group for settlement of issues in the television and radio sector.
The Ministry announced that Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Communications and Information Technology informed the chairman of the Iranian TV and Radio Company, Izatul Zargamio of measures held in the country in the field of information technology and stressed the intensive development of ties between Azerbaijan and Iran in all areas, including information technology.
The talks touched on the improvement of the quality of television and radio broadcasting, as well as the regulation of air time.
The Head of the Iranian delegation noted that he fully shares Mr. Abbasov's ideas on these issues.
The TV and Radio Broadcasting Company of Iran unite around 40 television and radio channels. Several thousand people are involved in this sector. The Supreme Leader of Iran appoints the chairman of the TV and Radio Broadcasting Company.
Some documents may be signed during the visit. The key objective of the visit to Azerbaijan is to strengthen bilateral relationships, discuss technical ties, as well as consolidate the co-operation in the field of production of information technology.
