Azerpocht Opens New Vacancies

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Babayeva / Gambar Beybalayev, the director general of the state-run company Azerpocht (Azerbaijani Post Service), reported that the enterprise had opened about 70 new jobs during the first quarter of the year in order to improve the quality of postal services and meet the demand.

Forty post-offices and one post agency have been put into operation during the period. The total amount of the postal money transfers increased by 40%, while the amount of money showed a 1.7- fold rise (2.9mln mantas) as compared to 2006.

Azerpocht's activity includes letters and correspondence delivery, telegraph services, electronic mail, Internet, long-distance calls, internal and external transportation parcels, sale of post-cards, envelops, postage-stamps, and badges decorated in national style, high-speed and ordinary money transfers, and pensions and allowances payment. There are 1,471 post-offices belonging to Azerpocht, which offer 50 types of services to clients.
