An Azerbaijani Computer Plant to Launch Production of Photo-Stalls

Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. S. Babayeva/ Rizvan Osmanov, Head of the Azerbaijan's only plant engaged assembling computers - KUR, has said that the Enterprise has launched the production of photo and information stalls.

According to him, part of the stalls assembled have already been sold to state-run and private-own enterprises. Photo-stalls resemble ATMs and are considered for printing photographs, recording on CDs, as well as resending necessary pictures to a mobile telephone. "The Mingachavir-based Plant has recently suspended the assembling decoders for digital TV-broadcasting due to the lack of demand on this production in the country," said Mr Osmanov.

The investments of Azerbaijan's only computer plant have reached $1.5 mln. Notably, KUR is a joint-venture, most part of which belongs to the Azerbaijan Telecommunication Ministry and Azerbaijani private company-Sinam.
