Sun Microsystems Announces New Organizational Structure of CIS Regions

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend / Sun Microsystems Corporation announced the new organizational structure of the CIS regions. The composition of the CIS was changed, now it unites Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzistan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, the Ukraine, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan from the begining of the 2007 fiscal year.

Presently, CIS regions are divided into two sub-regions, excluding Russia. The first region includes Armenia, Belarus, Moldova and the Ukraine, the second unites Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Chris Morris has been heading the CIS region since 1 July 2007.

Four offices of the corporation have been working on the territory of the CIS region, in Moscow, Kiev, and Almata; the company has representatives in St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.

"By introducing a new structure of the CIS region we aimed at increasing business management and development of business in new member-countries," Chris Morris explained.
