Turkmenistan preparing tender to develop internet, mobile communications

The Turkmenaragatnashyk (Turkmen communications) Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Communications of Turkmenistan has announced a prequalification process for a tender to select equipment suppliers for the development of telecommunication resources in the country.
The prequalification process has been announced for the development of internet and FM broadcasting, a mobile communication network, modernization of the billing system and expansion of the fixed landline of Turkmenistan.
An invitation to participate in the prequalification process is expected to be made in April 2019.
The Agency received funding for these purposes from the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
A prequalification document can be obtained after sending a filled in application to the address below and paying a non-refundable fee of $805 (including VAT) by transferring the funds to the following bank account:

Prequalification applications should be submitted in sealed envelopes with a clear inscription “Application to Prequalify for the Telecommunication Network Enhancement Project (ТКМ-1008)” and delivered no later than on June 12, 2019.
