Turkey discloses number of resorts with tourism licenses in 2017

In 2017, 4,821 various resorts received licenses for tourism activity, according to the report of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

According to the report, 3,670 hotels received licenses in 2017, which is 43 hotels more than in 2016.

Nine motels received licenses in 2017 which is similar with the figure in 2016.

In 2017, 112 tourist centers obtained licenses in Turkey, which is four tourist centers less than in 2016.

"In 2017, 117 thermal hotels and thermal apartment hotels received licenses compared to 123 similar hotels in 2016," the report said.

In 2017, 914 boarding houses, boutique hotels and villas received licenses compared to 901 in 2016.

In 2016, 4,776 resorts of all types were provided with licenses in Turkey’s tourism sector.
