The number of tourist trips from Russia to Uzbekistan in 1H 2019 increased by 35 percent compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports citing the Russian tourist portal TurStat.
TurStat published the rating of countries of outbound tourism from Russia for the 1H2019.
According to published data, Uzbekistan holds 39th place with 96,000 Russian tourist trips in the first half of 2019. Compared to other countries, the figure is, of course, small, but compared to the same period last year, the growth was a record 35 percent.
The statistics show that the outbound tourism of Russians to the CIS countries and the former USSR in the first half of 2019 increased to Kazakhstan by 6.5 percent to 1.337 million trips, and to Georgia - by 30 percent to 630,000 trips.
The top ten countries for Russian tourists in 2019 include Turkey, Finland, Kazakhstan, China, Ukraine, Estonia, Thailand, Georgia and Germany.
The total number of outbound tourist trips of Russians abroad for the first six months of the year amounted to 19,891 million, which is 6.7 percent more than for the same period last year (18,646 million trips).
