Kazakhstan abolishes visa regime with more countries

Kazakhstan has provided citizens of 12 more countries with a visa free access to the country, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiyarov said, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the ministry.

Thus, the visa free access has been granted to the citizens of Bahrain, Colombia, Indonesia, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Oman, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Vatican, Vietnam.

He also reminded, that citizens of 45 countries have visa free access to Kazakhstan since January 1, 2017. Currently, this number has been expanded to 57 countries. The expansion has been provided for by politic, economic and investment usefulness.

“The abolition of visa requirements is aimed at increase of a number of foreign investors, businessmen and tourists. The simplification of visa regime is to provide for creation of favorable investments climate in Kazakhstan,” Smadiyarov said.

He further added, that the President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev has mandated to ministry to expand the list of the visa free countries for citizens of Kazakhstan.
