Kazakhstan's FlyArystan lowcoster reveals data on activity in 2019

Kazakhstan’s only lowcoster – FlyArystan – transported 700,581 passengers over the course of its operations in 2019 (May 1 to Dec. 31), the company told Trend.

During the reporting period company implemented over 4,000. FlyArystan's load factor was 94 percent, with the ontime performance of flights over 90 percent.

In May 2019, FlyArystan commenced operations with two A320 aircrafts based in Almaty city. In Oct. and Dec. 2019, two additional A320 planes were added to the new aircraft base in Nur-Sultan city.

As of the end of 2019, FlyArystan implements flights on 13 routes. The company also launched its first international flights from Nur-Sultan to Moscow in Dec. 2019.

As noted by Head of FlyArystan Tim Jordan, the company looks to expand its fleet from four to 10 aircrafts in 2020.

“This will certainly allow us to continue our rapid growth and to bring our low fares and new routes to many more cities across Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region. We will also be opening at least 2 new aircraft bases in both Karaganda and Aktobe in 2020 and we look forward to adding more in the future,” he said.

FlyArystan is the first and only low-cost air company of Kazakhstan. The company started selling tickets online in March 2019.
