The number of entries to Georgia stood at 9.024 million in 2019, which is 8.4 percent more than in 2018, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
As reported, 1.79 million people arrived from the Russian Federation to Georgia in 2019, which is 5 percent more than in 2018 (1.70 million).
According to the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs, among neighboring countries, the largest number of people arrived from Azerbaijan - 2.01 million, which is 12 percent more than in 2018.
The number of arrivals from Turkey to Georgia in 2019 increased by four percent and amounted to 1.36 million people.
In 2019, 541,895 people arrived from the EU countries to Georgia, which is 25 percent more than in 2018.
During the reporting period, 242,947 people visited Georgia from Ukraine, an increase of 19 percent.
As for Israel, the number of arrivals from this country amounted to 227,728 people, which is 31 percent higher than in 2018.
