ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, Jan. 29

By Huseyn Hasanov – Trend:

Turkmenistan Airlines postpones the opening of regular flights to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) from February to April 2020, Trend reports referring to the Turkmenistan Airlines on Jan. 29.

The passenger flight is planned to be carried out on a Boeing 777-200LR aircraft.

Jeddah receives the main stream of pilgrims traveling for the hajj to Mecca and Medina cities.

Turkmenistan Airlines said earlier that Turkmenistan is developing routes that will allow tourists from Europe, Turkey, the CIS countries, Thailand and Vietnam to fly to the Arabian Peninsula through Ashgabat Airport. These flights can be connected with the flights to the Turkmen capital from Germany, France, England, Russia and Turkey, thus creating additional convenience for transit travelers.
