Some 91,100 tons of cargo were transported by sea in January 2020, which is 1.5 times more than in the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
The total amount of cargo transported by sea amounted to nearly $52,000 in January 2020, which is almost 39.2 percent less than in the same period of last year.
The volume of export shipping amounted to almost 11,325 tons in January 2020, which is 2.3 times less than in the same period of last year. The total indicator of exported goods amounted to $3.4 million (a decrease of 70.9 percent).
The volume of import cargo transportation by sea for the reporting period amounted to almost 800,000 tons in January 2020, which is 2.4 times more than in the same period of last year. The total indicator of the imported goods amounted to $49.5 million (an increase of nearly 20 percent).
In general, Azerbaijan’s total trade turnover amounted to $2.8 billion, in particular, export - $2.1 billion, import - almost $720 million in January 2020.
