Iran-Turkey daily railway trade breaks record

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29

The number of wagons transporting cargo via Razi railway customs of Khoy county at West Azerbaijan province in northwestern Iran has reached 187 wagons on April 28, Spokesman for Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

According to Latifi, this is a record daily freight traffic by rail between Iran and Turkey.

He added that 85 wagons transported export products, while 102 wagons delivered goods imported to the country.

Latifi said that watermelon accounted for the largest volume of the exported product (21 wagons), and bananas - for the largest volume of the imported product (34 wagons).
