By Nargiz Sadikhova - Trend:

Kazakhstan’s KTZ Express launched the oversized goods transportation from Georgia’s Poti station (Georgia) to Kazakh Aksai city through Kazakh Kuryk port, Trend reports with reference to KTZ Express.

The company said that a transformer weighing more than 40 tons with a third degree of lateral and second degree of upper oversize was transported on a special conveyor without walls.

Also, an oversized cargo went through 1,532 km of Kazakh territory in record time.

The transformer recipient is the Kazakhstan branch of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. PJSC which develops country’s Karachaganak oil and gas field.

The company emphasized that it pays particular attention to transportation of oversized goods of varying complexity.

“Moreover, in each case, the route of cargo movement is properly developed, its safety, support, loading and unloading are professionally performed. In fact, any transportation of oversized cargo is unique and requires an individual approach,” the company said.

Earlier this year Kazakhstan’s railways operator - KTZ Express – has launched a new container service on the China-Turkmenistan route with transit via Kazakhstan.

A number of international transport routes go through the territory of Kazakhstan.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, Kazakhstan has suspended passenger traffic with a number of countries, including China. However, this measure did not affect cargo and transit transportation, which is still underway as usual.
