Kazakhstan's revenue volume from road cargo transportation increases

Kazakhstan’s revenues from transportation of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage via automobile and urban electric transport amounted to 66.1 billion tenge ($163.5 million) over first five months of 2020, which is 8.2 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via automobile and urban electric transport during the reporting period amounted to 1.1 billion tons, which is 8.4 percent less compared to the same period of last year.

Cargo turnover amounted to 56.1 billion ton-kilometers which is 12.9 percent less than during the same period of last year.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation reached 28.9 billion tenge ($71.5 million) over the first five months of 2020, which is 35.6 percent less than during the same period of last year.

Number of transported passengers amounted to 5.9 billion people, which is 36.7 percent less than during the same period of last year (9.3 billion people).

The passenger traffic amounted to 63.9 billion passenger-kilometers during the reporting period, which compared to 102.6 billion passenger-kilometers over the same period of 2019, which is a decrease by 37.7 percent.
