Kazakhstan taking measures to enhance air transport safety

International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to be carried out in Kazakhstan in 1H2022, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee.

The committee said that it is currently working on additional measures to ensure flight safety. Assessment and forecasting of legislative efficiency by identifying inefficiently implemented legal norms and formulating proposals for their improvement is ongoing.

Thus, additional terms are defined for registration of cargo aircrafts and their subsequent control, which are included in the concept of the draft ‘Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Issues of Restoring Economic Growth’ Law of Kazakhstan. The planned date for the law adoption is 4Q2020.

“The level of safety oversight in ICAO member states is determined by the results of ICAO audits (audit or validation mission). According to preliminary information, the ICAO audit in Kazakhstan is expected to take place in 1H2022,” the report said.

The committee said that in order to increase the level of effective implementation of standards and recommended practices of the ICAO in flight safety in Kazakhstan, the concept of ‘Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Transport Issues’ law draft was developed. The expected date of adoption of law is 4Q2021.
