Iran reveals volume of essential goods imported via Shahid Rajaee port

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29

More than 2 million tons of essential products have been imported through the Shahid Rajaee port of Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020), Customs Inspector of the Hormozgan Province Abolfazl Akbarpour told journalists, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Akbarpour said that these products include 25 essential products, including rice, meat, corn, barley, soybeans, medicines and tires.

The official stressed that 5.38 million tons of essential products were imported through the Shahid Rajaee port in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).

“At present, 128,000 tons of essential products are being discharged from customs of Shahid Rajaee port,” he said.

More than 63 percent of the products imported through the customs of Shahid Rajaee port accounted for essential products.
