Turkmenistan to strengthen sanitary standards in transit transport

Turkmenistan is working to establish safe mutual deliveries and transit traffic, in order to prevent the entry of COVID-19 into the country,Trend reports with reference to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The movement of goods and vehicles through border checkpoints in Turkmenistan has undergone regulation. In this regard, all customs operations are carried out under the control of the relevant departments of Turkmenistan and in compliance with the requirements of sanitary standards.

A number of measures were taken at all state checkpoints to strengthen sanitary-epidemiological and phytosanitary control, veterinary supervision in Turkmenistan, in particular, in this regard the necessary medical equipment and medicines were purchased.

In addition, disinfection terminals were built at road and railway checkpoints, as well as at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport of Turkmenistan.

Cars, their trailers, railway cars and containers arriving in Turkmenistan are being completely disinfected.

Offiically, there are no registered cases of coronavirus infection in Turkmenistan, but Turkmenistan is taking all necessary sanitary measures to prevent the virus from entering the country.

Earlier, the country adopted the mandatory wearing of masks in public places, as well as the need to provide a COVID-19 absence certificate s when using flights.
