Some 154.8 million passengers were carried via transport means (road, rail, aviation) in Georgia from January through July 2020, which is 60.6 million passengers less than in the same period last year, Trend reports via the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
In the first 7 months of 2020, 153.4 million passengers were transported by roads. In January through July 2019, this figure was 210.7 million passengers.
During the reporting period, some 0.7 million fell on civil aviation. In January through July 2019, this figure was 3.1 million passengers.
In the first 7 months of 2020, the number of passengers transported by rail was 0.7 million. In January through July last year, this figure was 1.7 million passengers.
The total volume of transported goods amounted to 22.2 million tons from January through July 2020 in Georgia, which is 0.6 million tons more than in the same period last year.
