BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 15

By Klavdiya Romakayeva - Trend:

Uzbekneftgaz has reduced the cost of selling RON-92 gasoline at its UNG Petro filling stations, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.

From September 15, the price of imported and local gasoline RON-92 at UNG gas stations will drop to 5,500 soums ($0.53) per liter.

The cost of imported RON-92 gasoline will be reduced from 6,000 soums ($0.58) to 5,500 soums ($0.53), but it is still higher than the May price (5,000 soums or $0.49).

The cost of locally produced RON-92 gasoline will be reduced from 5,800 soums ($0.56) to 5,500 soums ($0.53) per liter.

“The measures taken by the enterprise to form prices for oil products according to market principles will continue. With a decrease in their prime cost, the cost of selling to the population will definitely decrease,” explained director of UNG Petro Mirzohid Musayev.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan plans to abandon the production of RON-80 gasoline. After modernization and reconstruction, the Bukhara refinery will produce RON-91, RON-93 and RON-95 gasoline, as well as Euro-5 diesel fuel.

At the end of March, it was reported that the production of diesel fuel of Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards was launched for the first time in Uzbekistan on the basis of the Bukhara oil refinery. Production was launched on March 30 as part of a three-stage modernization of the plant in 2019-2025 worth $553 million.
