A total of 698 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Abadan port of the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).
According to the report, while in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020) 464 tons of cargo was loaded and unloaded at the port.
“At the same time, 4 tons of cargo were loaded for export and 694 tons were unloaded for import in the 6th month,” the report said.
In addition, about 412 tons of essential products were unloaded in Abadan port during the reporting period.
According to the report, 220 tons of construction and mining materials were loaded and unloaded over the same month.
“As well as 66 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, wood and other similar goods were loaded and unloaded within the sixth month in the Abadan port,” the report noted.
In total, 5.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and 4.5 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.
