Iran discloses activity of Bandar Lengeh Port

A total of about 130,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Bandar Lengeh port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).

Meanwhile, in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 22-August 21, 2020), 77,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at this port, the report added.

According to the report, about 95,400 tons of goods were loaded and 34,300 tons were unloaded in the sixth month of current Iranian year.

“During the reporting month, 94,600 tons of goods were exported and 3,930 tons were imported through the Bandar Lengeh port,” the report said.

As many as 28,800 tons of goods were unloaded for transit through this port over the sixth month.

According to the report, at the same time, 762 tons of goods were loaded and 393 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the port.

According to the report, 60,000 tons of essential products, 433 tons of metal products, 37,700 tons of construction materials and mining materials, 30,100 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts, 130 tons of chemicals were loaded and unloaded at the Bandar Lengeh port in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.

“In addition, 47 tons of leather, clothing, fiber, wood and other similar goods, 1,190 tons of other goods were loaded and unloaded during the reporting month,” the report said.

In total, 5.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and 4.5 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports in the 6th month of the current Iranian year.
