The volume of exporting cargo transportation by sea from Azerbaijan amounted to 213,685 tons from January through September 2020, which is 12.9 percent less compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing a report of the State Customs Committee (SCC).
In monetary terms, the exporting goods transportation by sea amounted to $68.2 million, a decrease of 38.8 percent year on year.
According to the SCC, overall cargo transportation by sea in Azerbaijan amounted to $398.7 million, slumping by 83.5 percent year on year.
During the reporting period, the volume of cargo transportation by sea amounted to 591,459 tons, which is almost 42 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
The import of goods by sea during the reporting period amounted to 444,914 tons worth $330.4 million, a decrease of 42.6 percent.
From January through September 2020, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $18.4 billion, which is 27.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2019.
