Iran reveals volume of essential products unloaded at Bandar Imam port

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 3

A total of 8.73 million tons of essential products have been unloaded at the Bandar Imam port in the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2020), the Director General of Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) of Iran’s branch in Khuzestan Province Adil Deris, Trend reports citing IRIB.

The director general noted the unloaded products were mainly wheat, corn, oilseeds, compressed soybeans, cooking oil, rice and sugar.

Deris added that these products were transported to the Bandar Imam port by 157 ships.

Moreover, 8.55 million tons of essential products have been transported to various provinces of Iran by various vehicles, so far.

The director general stressed at the same time, 2.89 million tons of essential products are currently stored in the warehouses of the port, and these products are gradually shipped respectively.
