Uzbekistan plans to assemble LADA and Renault cars at Roodell's ADM-Jizzakh plant in the Jizzakh free economic zone, Trend reports referring to lex.uz.

The mentioned issue was stated in the investment program for 2021-2023, approved by a presidential decree on December 28.

According to the investment program, the design capacity will amount to 100,000 vehicles per year. The project is estimated at $60.9 million, of which $33.3 is planned to be spent in 2021.

In September, it was noted that the release of Kia cars was announced at this site.

Earlier, the messages spread on social networks that several LADA XRAY Cross assembled bodies were produced at the AvtoVAZ plant in Russia, which were allegedly intended to be sent to a car assembly plant in Uzbekistan. The company itself then refused to comment on the issue.

Roodell CEO Daniyar Davletiarov reported that the company plans to launch the production of cars of three auto brands. He also spoke about plans to increase the number of models in the KIA lineup from three to eight models by the end of 2021.
