Details of cargo movement in Iran’s Chabahar port announced

About 316,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (southeastern Iran) in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 21-December 20, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 56,900 tons of cargo were loaded and 259,000 tons were unloaded at the port in the ninth month.

“Over the 9th month, 54,100 tons of goods were exported and 130,000 tons were imported through the Chabahar port,” the statistics said.

Furthermore, 602 tons of goods were loaded and 4,360 tons were unloaded in this port for transit during the mentioned month, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 124,000 tons of goods were unloaded for cabotage in the Chabahar port within the 9th month.

At the same time, 2,090 tons of goods were loaded at the port for other purposes, the statistics said.

“In general, 124,000 tons of essential products, 53,400 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,120 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 9th month,” the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 415 tons of leather products, clothing, wood materials, paper, and so on, 317 tons of small and various products, 11,700 tons of container products, 124,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port during the reporting period.

A total of 9.13 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 21 through December 20, 2020). Of this, 5.5 million tons were loaded and 3.62 million tons were unloaded.
