Iran declares volume of exports-imports via Shahid Bahonar port revealed

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 24

About 81,600 tons of cargo were exported and 1,830 tons were imported through the Shahid Bahonar port in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 21, 2020, through January 19, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 98,200 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Bahonar port within the 10th month. Of this, 89,100 tons were loaded and 9,000 tons were unloaded.

“Furthermore, 422 tons of goods were loaded and 2,280 tons were unloaded for transit in the port during the reporting period,” the statistics said.

At the same time, 5,960 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for cabotage, as well as 105 tons of cargo were loaded for other purposes and 4,940 tons were unloaded, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 46,600 tons of essential products, 16,300 tons of metal products, 21,600 tons of construction and mining materials, 916 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Bahonar port in the 10th month.

“In addition, 48 tons of chemicals, 6 tons of small products, 5,170 tons of container products, 7,360 tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month,” the statistics said.

As reported, a total of 10.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.32 million tons were unloaded and 4.55 million tons were loaded.
