Turkmenistan to send cargo flight to Turkey

A cargo flight will be carried out from Turkmenistan to Turkey, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.

On February 26, a cargo flight departs from the Turkmenabat International Airport (Turkmenistan) to Istanbul (Turkey).

According to the report, the flight will be carried out by an IL-76 aircraft.

As reported, Turkmenistan Airlines opens direct scheduled cargo transportation on the Boeing 777-200 LR aircraft.

The flight will be operated once a week, on Fridays - to Beijing, on Saturdays - to Frankfurt.

The first flight is scheduled for February 26 this year. Cargo flights by air are planned in a test mode until the end of March.

Payment of fares for flights departing from Turkmenistan is made in Turkmen manats at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan. At the same time, the fares for flights to Turkmenistan from Beijing and Frankfurt are paid in US dollars.

The airline accepts orders for cargo transportation to Europe and Asia. The flights will be operated on modern Boeing aircraft designed for 30-35 tons of cargo.
