Azerbaijan’s Azeraluminium LLC and Paga-Trans Lojistik company signed a contract for 2.08 million manat ($1.2 million), Trend reports referring to the Electronic Procurement portal.
According to the portal, the winner of the tender announced by the LLC for engaging services of aluminum ingots and rolls' transportation by truck for two years from Ganja city to Turkish Istanbul has been determined.
By the decision of the tender commission, Paga-Trans Lojistik was chosen as the winner of the tender, the portal said.
Azeraluminium LLC is a leading company in the field of non-ferrous metallurgy in Azerbaijan and the only primary aluminum producer in the South Caucasus. The Ganja Aluminum Complex foundation was laid by the country’s President Ilham Aliyev in March 2008.
The complex launched the 1st phase of its primary aluminum production with an annual output capacity of 50,000 tons in 2011-2012. The testing process of the output roll products started in May 2013. The complex inauguration has taken place on January 21, 2014, in the presence of President Ilham Aliyev.
