Azerbaijan will continue work on exempting electric cars’ import from customs duties and taxes, the report of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2020 stated, Trend reports on Mar.10.
According to the report, in order to ensure environmental and road safety, imports, state registration and operation of cars with electric motors will be exempt from all customs duties and taxes.
Besides, it’s planned to exempt the import of hybrid cars from value added tax, revise taxes and customs duties applied when importing new vehicles by year of release.
"Appropriate work is underway to apply incentive measures in the field of lending for the purchase of cars in connection with the turnover of new vehicles with electric motors and the date of their release," added the report.
