The subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC - ADY Container LLC, together with the Turkish Pacific Eurasia Logistics transport and logistics company, is participating in a project on the transportation of goods from Turkey to Europe.

The joint project envisages the supply of the Turkish products to Europe and in the opposite direction. At the next stages, it is planned to transport goods between Azerbaijan and European countries through Turkey.

Azerbaijan’s ADY Express LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, has started export transportation of another type of cargo. According to the source, the subsidiary has started transporting domestic cement. This time the company started transporting cement produced at the plant of Holcim Azerbaijan OJSC by rail to Georgia. Monthly some 15,000 tons of cement produced by the OJSC will be transported to Georgia.

The Caspian Sea is part of the North-South multimodal transport corridor, and Azerbaijan has great potential for marine transshipment of goods within it. Transshipment of goods today in the context of a certain shortage of goods and other problems makes the Caspian Sea a more attractive route.

Azerbaijan has great advantages in trade between the countries of the Black Sea region and Central Asia.

Azerbaijan, along with China, is actively involved in trade between the countries of the Black Sea region and Central Asia. Azerbaijan, being a Caspian country, has the greatest advantages in this trade. For example, our country is connected with Georgia via railway with an access to the Black Sea ports.

Azerbaijan is actively promoting the North-South international transport corridor, which has opened up opportunities for South Asian countries to enter the markets of the CIS and Eastern Europe. The development of transport routes is a very important task. It will allow transporting goods and ensure better market access for suppliers.

It is important to continue to work to increase cross-border connectivity through the use of integrated transport corridors.

Azerbaijan, which attaches great importance to the regional cooperation, is interested in supporting stability and security in the region and its economic prosperity.

Being located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Azerbaijan, together with partners in the region, participates in a whole range of initiatives and projects aimed at developing transport and energy communications, strengthening regional and continental trade.

A new international multimodal corridor is being created jointly with Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Georgia to increase opportunities for cargo transportation in addition to the existing capacities.

Presently, the Caspian countries focus on efficient operation of ports. In this regard, the sides are interested in the implementation of the projects related to the process of organizing cruises along the Caspian Sea.

This is a very promising sphere to which all regional countries may join. The Caspian Sea - Volga or Caspian Sea - Black Sea tourist route is interesting amid freight and passenger transportation.
