Kazakhstan and Russia agree to co-op in area of airworthiness

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22

Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) signed a working agreement on the cooperation in the area of airworthiness, Trend reports citing Kazakh Civil Aviation Committee.

The agreement oversees the simplification of the procedure for the recognition of airworthiness certificates, type certificates and (or) admission to the use of parts and components of aviation equipment, including unmanned aircraft systems, without duplication of assessments, testing and inspections.

The working agreement is aimed at the application of agreed approaches for the approval of the standard design of civil aviation equipment, modifications, the development of the repair of aircraft equipment and its components, as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two aviation departments in the field of airworthiness and flight safety.
