A total of 34,556 passenger cars were manufactured in Kazakhstan from January through June 2021, which is 24 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
In turn, passenger car production in June alone amounted to 6,234 cars, which also is 56.3 percent more than in June 2020.
The number of cargo vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan during the reporting period stood at 4,253 vehicles (1,209 in June), of specialized vehicles at 109 (8 in June).
Furthermore, the number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured in June 2021 amounted to 41, which is 89.8 percent less than in June 2020. The number of trailers, semi-trailers, and containers manufactured over the reporting period stood at 340 vehicles, which is 76 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, spare parts for vehicle output amounted to 43,240 during six months and 9,009 in June 2021, which is 2.6 percent more and 12.9 percent less respectively than during the same period of 2020.
Seventeen diesel locomotives were also manufactured in Kazakhstan over six months of 2020.
