A subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, ADY Container LLC, has started transporting containers from China to Turkey, ADY Container LLC told Trend.
According to the company, the Kazakh Barys ship with 159 40-foot containers entered the Baku International Sea Trade Port (Port of Baku).
As reported, this was the first time this ship had delivered a 314-TEU container.
“The containers run from China to Kazakhstan, then from the Kazakh port of Kuryk to the port of Baku. After transshipment of containers in the Baku port, most of them will be loaded onto railway platforms and sent to Turkey by the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway. Groupage cargo for various purposes is transported in containers,” the company emphasized.
The Barys container ship carries out runs in this direction within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route twice a week.
The Barys ship belongs to the marine fleet of Kazakhstan - LLP NMSK Kazmortransflot.
