The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Bahonar port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) decreased by about 22 percent in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021), compared to the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 184,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the fourth month. Of this, about 160,000 tons were loaded and 24,400 tons were unloaded.
Furthermore, 110,000 tons of cargo were exported and 3,290 tons were imported through the Shahid Bahonar port over the reporting month.
Within the fourth month, 100 tons of cargo were loaded and 4,300 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.
According to the statistics, 50,000 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for cabotage, as well as, 95 tons of cargo were loaded and 16,900 tons were unloaded for other purposes during the fourth month.
“So, 73,500 tons of essential products, 2,170 tons of metal products, 32,800 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,100 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Bahonar port in the 4th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.
Moreover, 124 tons of chemicals, 75 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 19 tons of small and assorted goods, 17,000 tons of container products, 56,900 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.
As reported, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fourth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.99 million tons were loaded and 5.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 20.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
