Azerbaijan has increased the volume of vehicle imports from January to June 2021, Trend reports citing a report from the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the report, this indicator made up 39,643 vehicles, which is 30 percent more than in the first half of 2020.
The majority of imports fell on cars - 36,741, up by 32.4 percent on annual basis.
In the first half of the year, Azerbaijan also imported 60 vehicles with a capacity of 10 people or more, 36 electric vehicles and 4,878 hybrid vehicles.
The number of imported trucks increased by 107 percent over the year and reached 2,794.
Azerbaijan's import of cars in the first half of the year in value terms amounted to $397.6 million.
