Volume of cargo loaded/unloaded in Iran’s Qeshm port rising

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 0.8 percent in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021), compared to the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 494,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 265,000 tons were loaded and 229,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 52,000 tons of cargo were exported and 2,020 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the fourth month.

Over the 4th month, 213,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 226,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 296 tons of cargo were unloaded for transshipment and 72 tons were loaded for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 52,000 tons of construction and mining materials, 427,000 tons of small and assorted products, 1,050 tons of container products and 13,700 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the fourth month of the current Iranian year.

As reported, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fourth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.99 million tons were loaded and 5.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 20.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
