Volume of loaded and unloaded cargo in Iran’s Genaveh port soars

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 10 percent in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021), compared to the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, a total of 12,700 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the 4th month. Of this, 3,800 tons were loaded and 8,980 tons were unloaded. While in the 3rd month, 11,400 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port.

Within the fourth month, 1,340 tons of cargo were exported and 217 tons were imported through the Genaveh port.

In addition, 2,470 tons of cargo were loaded and 2,320 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage over the reporting month.

According to the statistics, 1,400 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transshipment and 4,950 tons were unloaded for other purposes in the fourth month.

So, 1,340 tons of construction and mining materials, 9,960 tons of small and assorted products and 1,400 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port within the mentioned month.

As reported, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fourth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.99 million tons were loaded and 5.5 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 20.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
