Machinery and equipment, cars, trailers and semitrailers worth 172.4 million manat ($101.4 million) have been produced in Azerbaijan from January through July 2021, Trend reports citing the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, the production of machinery and equipment in the reporting period decreased by 48.3 percent, and the production of cars, trailers, and semitrailers – by 47.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
Meanwhile, 407 tractors were produced, which is increased by 3.9 times (302) on annual basis.
Besides, 940 passenger cars have been produced in Azerbaijan in the first seven months compared to 1,074 passenger cars in the same period of last year.
Azerbaijan's GDP has increased by 2.7 percent from January through July 2021 compared to the same period of last year and reached 47.2 billion manat ($27.7 billion).
