Activities in Iran’s Anzali port intensify

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 8 percent in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (June 23 through August 22, 2021), compared to the 4th month (June 22 through July 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 153,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the fifth month. Of this, 36,000 tons were loaded and 117,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 34,800 tons of cargo were exported and 117,000 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 1,300 tons of cargo were loaded and 62 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as, 28 tons of cargo were unloaded for other purposes in the fifth month, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 96,100 tons of essential products, 384 tons of metal products, 18,100 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,250 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 5th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 6,410 tons of chemicals, 25,300 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 7 tons of small and assorted products, 4,400 tons of container products and 523 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

As reported, about 11.3 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the fifth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.98 million tons were loaded and 5.29 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 9.8 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
