In general, 1.93 million tons of cargo (both oil and non-oil products) were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through September 22, 2021), Director General of Ports and Maritime Department of Bushehr Province, Siavash Arjmandzadeh said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to Arjmandzadeh, about 1.28 million tons of non-oil products, as well as 654,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port within 6 months.
The director general also added that 19,700 TEU containers were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port over the reporting period, of which 15,200 units were full, while 4,500 units were empty.
“In addition, a total of 1,208 ships docked at the Bushehr port during six months. Of these, 263 ships had a cargo of more than 1,000 tons, and 945 ships had a cargo of less than 1,000 tons,” he said.
Also, 1,101 ships left this port in 6 months. Of these, 215 ships had a cargo of more than 1,000 tons, while 886 ships had a cargo of less than 1,000 tons, Arjmandzadeh noted.
