Iran preparing for unloading large volumes of basic goods in coming months

TEHRAN, Iran, Oct. 13

The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran announced the Iranian port equipment`s preparation for unloading a large volume of basic goods in the second half of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2021), Trend reports citing ILNA.

The Head of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) and the Deputy Minister Mohammad Rastad made remarks at the national conference of the PMO.

He went on to address the government's approach to motivate the investors and promote maritime safety.

It is worth mentioning that PMO has defined a high number of projects to develop and improve the country’s ports, as the country aims to double the capacity of its ports in a course of five years.

As previously announced by the deputy head of Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization (MPO) announced that loading and unloading of goods in the ports of Iran rose seven percent during the first quarter of the current Iranian year, as compared to the first quarter of the previous year,
