The total revenues of Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) in Azerbaijan from freight and passenger traffic amounted to 36.7 million manats ($21.6 million) in 8M2021, Trend reports with reference to the report of the State Statistics Committee of the NAR.
According to the committee, cargo transportation in the NAR in 8M2021 amounted to 69.922 million tons, practically unchanged compared to the same period in 2019 (data for 2020 not available).
At the same time, passenger traffic in the NAR during the reporting period amounted to 10.7 million people, which is one percent less than the same period in 2019.
It is noted that over 38.5 million manats ($22.6 million) was allocated in order to create a modern road transport infrastructure in the NAR.
