The number of passenger planes received by the Kermanshah International Airport in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) increased by 23 percent, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, as was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), Trend reports.
According to the statistics, 2,490 passenger planes were received at the airport in 6 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 2,020 units.
In total, 168,000 passengers were transported through Kermanshah International Airport over six months. Passenger transportation increased by 2 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, about 165,000 passengers had been transported through this airport in the same period last Iranian year.
Furthermore, 1,160 tons of cargo were transported through the airport within the mentioned period. Cargo transportation increased by 18 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure amounted to 980 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Reportedly, Iran's Kermanshah International Airport is located on 237 hectares of land.
