A memorandum is planned to be signed between the Azerbaijani Alliance Logistics company and the Russian Railways JSC on December 10, 2021, Chairman of the Board of Alliance Logistics Natig Heydarov said in an interview with Trend.
Heydarov said that the signing of this document will contribute to the launch of the Agro Express project jointly with Russian Railways.
“Our company is a forwarding company of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC,” chairman of the board of Alliance Logistics added. “We cooperate with all railway structures of the post-Soviet states. Russian Railways JSC, in particular, Russian Railways Logistics JSC are our partners.”
“Presently, we are working on the Agro Express project, which will contribute to an increase in trade turnover between our countries,” Heydarov added. “The goods are also planned to be transited within this project.”
The chairman of the board of Alliance Logistics also stressed that the service of the Agro Express project will be rendered to businessmen working in the agricultural sector.
“The goods (mainly fruits and vegetables) of these businessmen will be supplied to the end consumer very quickly and efficiently,” Heydarov said. “The launch of this project will help to avoid possible delays at the border, as in case of transportation via vehicles.”
Heydarov said that the first train has been already running within the Agro Express project.
